Electrical Fault Finding & Diagnostic Investigation

Attendance to investigate electrical issues reported at the property. Diagnostic testing and inspection carried out on the electrical installation.

The following observations were identified during the inspection:

• Consumer unit (fuse box) cover missing, resulting in accessible live parts and presenting a potential risk of electric shock.
• Certain MCB circuits are not protected by an RCD, resulting in reduced additional protection against electric shock.
• Socket outlet circuits are protected by a 16A MCB. This is inadequate for the connected load and causes nuisance tripping when multiple kitchen appliances are used simultaneously.
• Further remedial works are recommended to bring the installation closer to current BS 7671 requirements and improve safety and functionality.

Findings and recommendations have been provided to the client.
